What is Remy Cuticle hair?

Remy hair is hair that is cut form an individual and is currently the highest demanded hair on the market. The hair cuticle acts as a natural protection and is responsible for the shine and resilience of your hair. The hair cuticles found in our Indian hair locks in the hair's essential moisture, protecting the hair against harsh natural elements such as; wind, sun and pollution to which the hair may be exposed to on a daily basis.

What is Single Drawn Hair?

Single drawn Remy Hair ranges in different lengths, but cut from one individual ponytail. The very short strands have been removed. If you order a 10-15 in you will only receive hair strands between 10-15 inches.

What is Double Drawn Hair?

Double drawn hair is hair that is one length. All shorter hair has been removed. This procedure is done in its entirety by hand.

What do the terms "bulk" and "Wefted" mean? What is the difference between Bulk & Wefted?

Bulk hair is lose hair (not on a weft) typically used for braiding or a wide variety of styles. Bulk hair is used to make Wefted pieces. Wefted hair is bulk hair sewn into a weft buy a machine or hand for weaving into tracks.

What are Machine Wefts?

Most wefts sold are machine wefts. It is hair that is sewn together buy a machine, these can be cut to fit someone's head. It has a slightly bigger bulge verse hand tied wefts.

What are Hand Tied Wefts?

Hand tied Wefts are custom Wefts sewn by hand. It allows us to make a smaller Weft so it fit's flatter against your head.

What is the best way to cut a weft?

Hand tied wefts are not meant to be cut. We make custom hand tied wefts based of customer measurements. If you need to cut your weft, we recommend using a glue to seal the ends. We do not guarantee that the hair will not shed once cut.

How Much Hair Do I need?

The average head needs 8 ounces of hair which is equivalent to two packs of hair.

Can I color this hair?

Yes you can color this hair. It is Virgin hair so you should not have any issues coloring this hair.

 What type of hair care products should I use?

Comb through your hair with shampoo and conditioner starting from the bottom, then working your way back to the top. Treat this hair as if it were your own hair; be gentle. The more you take care of your hair, the longer it lasts.

Do I have to do anything special in the morning?

Yes, we strongly advise you to comb or brush your hair when first waking up. This will prevent any future knotting.

Do I have to do anything special at night?

Sleeping on damp hair will always damage and tangle hair. NEVER SLEEP ON WET HAIR. Make sure the hair is completely dry prior to wrapping up.

Can I go swimming?

Yes, you can go swimming, however, like with your own hair, one should use a swimming cap in chlorine waters. Chlorine may cause hair to become dry and split after time.

How long does it last?

What is Remy vs. non Remy?

The original term Remy is from India meaning the Hair is from one donor. Over the years the term Remy was adopted by commercial resellers to manipulate consumers into thinking there purchasing Virgin Indian Hair. You have probably seen or tried all types of human commercial and virgin hairs that promise a natural look and feel. Remy hair is human hair used in the production of hair pieces, wigs and hair extensions. Remy hair is hair that has all its cuticles going in one direction.

Remy Hair is not always virgin hair, once virgin hair has been colored or chemically processed in any way short of removing the cuticles it is referred to as Remy. Remy Hair can be categorized in the premium segment, as far as hair quality is concerned. Remy Hair has its cuticle intact and running in the same direction "unidirectional cuticle" to prevent tangling. Cuticles are a natural product on each strand of hair, their purpose is to protect the hair from damage as well as give it its natural shine look.  

For commercial purposes, Remy Hair is categorized into two types.

Remy Hair Single Drawn: This type of Remy Hair is taken out directly from the scalp by shaving the head. Care is taken to remove the very short hair, with the longer hair, found in different hair length, giving a pony tail like appearance.
Remy Hair Double Drawn: This type of hair is the finest quality with the same wave length in a piece. The hairs are arranged with equal lengths. There will not be any short hair in a piece.
Quality A: These are an expensive type of weft hair made up of Indian Virgin Remy hair. This type is unidirectional and characterized by double drawn hair, where the whole weave is made up of hairs of the same length.
Quality B: This type is again made up of special double drawn hair, virgin Remy Hair, and is unidirectional. The length of hairs though may vary by up to 1-2 inches.
Quality C: This is the finest quality of weft hair. The cuticles are intact and are unidirectional. The entire weave contains hairs of different length
